CNC Accessories & Controllers
These are the breakdown parts, or electronic/firmware parts, of the machine which extend the use of the CNC machine.
Everything else that is not the main cutting / engraving head: motion controllers, drives, sensors, tool changers, fixtures etc,
Features:
Cutting force & head is capable of cutting a range of substrates (cardboard, leather, rubber, foam etc.).
Motion Controllers
Converts G-code into motion of the motors - might be stepper or servo based, might allow for closed-loop controls (feedback), might allow for more precision, might just add speed.
Drives / Motor Types
Stepper (less expensive, lower precision/accurate), servo (higher precision/accurate, has faster response, higher broking cost).
Spindle / Laser Heads
the tools themselves, collets, focus lenses, cooling, protection, etc.
Tool Changers
improve ability to tool change automatically (to swap between bits or heads).
Fixtures / Jigs
clamping and other hold down systems, vacuum tables etc.
Safety Features
enclosures for ANSI or local safety compliance, emergency stop features, interlocks, fume removal/extraction.
